Feature item

And now for something special.

This is a later 18th century Venetian schiavona. Of Dalmatian origin, these were standard Venetian infantry weapons throughout the 17th and 18th centuries. This is a particularly fine example, and one you might expect to find in a European museum. With rare finer detail, it features a cat’s head, and a double-edged blade in superb condition. The basket hilt is beautifully constructed and there are no visible faults to this item, which is available without a scabbard – to be expected on items of this age.
